Chapter 2 A Bathing Video

Cherise felt confused, thinking Damien couldn''t see anything. "Can you bathe yourself if I leave?"

Damien didn''t answer, but the atmosphere grew colder. Realizing Damien might be annoyed, Cherise timidly grabbed the bath scrub and backed out. "Be careful, okay? Call me if you need anything!"

After leaving the bathroom, Cherise felt restless and kept glancing at the door. The floor''s slippery. What if he slips and falls?

What if he falls and dies? I just got married and I don''t want to be a widow already...

Just as Cherise''s mind was spiraling, her phone buzzed. Lucy Staber, her best friend, had sent her a video titled ''Study Materials.'' Study materials? Why would she send me this when finals are still months away?

Cherise wondered as she tapped the video.

"Mm... Ahh..."

To her shock, the screen showed a woman pressed against a man!

Cherise''s face turned bright red. Panicking, she tried to close the video, but her cheap phone froze at that exact moment, and nothing she did would make it stop!

Suddenly, the bathroom door opened. When Damien heard the erotic sounds, his expression darkened.

"What are you doing?"

Cherise, already sweating nervously, nearly dropped her phone when Damien appeared so suddenly.

Flustered, she shoved the phone under the blanket. The volume got muffled, but the woman in the video moaned even more passionately. "You..." Damien stared at Cherise with a stern expression.

"I-I''m watching a bathing video!"

Cherise pressed down hard on the blanket, hoping to muffle the sound.

Damien''s face darkened. "A bathing video?"

"Yeah." Cherise sat on the blanket, nervously wiping sweat from her forehead. "It was a guy giving a woman a massage. She was so relaxed that she was moaning."

Damien was speechless. Not only does she think I''m blind, but she probably thinks I''m stupid too. The room fell silent except for the woman''s muffled sounds coming from under the blanket. Dressed in her pajamas, Cherise pressed awkwardly onto the blanket. The warm, yellow light fell across her fair skin, creating an alluring glow. Damien''s breathing grew heavier, and his eyes darkened. Sweat beaded on Cherise''s forehead. She never knew pressing down on a soft blanket could be this exhausting. Fortunately, the video ended after a while. Cherise wiped away her sweat and pulled the overheated phone from under the blanket.

Damien sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her with a half-smile. "Video over?"

Cherise gave an awkward smile.

"Yeah... You really shouldn''t scrub too hard when bathing..."

Damien said nothing.

Cherise immediately deleted the video and angrily texted Lucy: You almost got me in serious trouble!

Lucy replied instantly: Come on, I''m being helpful!

Isn''t your husband disabled? I specifically found this video for you. Did you learn anything?

Cherise''s face turned red. Go to hell!

Since Damien was blind, Cherise didn''t bother hiding her phone while texting Lucy. As a result, Damien could clearly read their entire conversation: My phone froze just as I was about to close the video. And he heard it!

He asked what I was doing. I barely managed to lie my way out of it!

Damien remained silent. Haha Cherry, I''m dying laughing right now!

You''re evil!

The first night is precious. I won''t disturb you and your handsome blind husband any longer.

Damien frowned. Handsome blind husband? What a charming way to put it.

Taking a deep breath, Cherise put down her phone and looked at Damien. "Let''s get started."

Damien stared at her but said nothing. Cherise clenched her fists. She''d known this man for less than twenty-four hours and could tell he didn''t like her. But... Sarah Miles, her aunt, had said it was essential on their first night. Otherwise, they wouldn''t be happy for the rest of their marriage!

She threw herself at Damien and wrapped her arms around his neck, clumsily kissing his cold lips. Her tongue ventured into his mouth and awkwardly touched his, like a kid trying to figure out a lollipop.

Damien''s expression grew serious. Cherise looked determined and focused, like she was completing an important assignment.

Damien placed his hands on her waist. "Will you regret this?" Blushing, Cherise shook her head. "No. You''re my husband."

A hint of tenderness appeared in Damien''s eyes as he gazed at the girl. "Are you afraid it''ll hurt?" he asked in a deep voice, restraining his emotions.

"No." Cherise pressed her lips together and tried to continue, but Damien caught her wrist. "It''s better if the guy takes the lead."

The next morning, the two servants responsible for preparing breakfast arrived at the Lenoir residence, still sleepy. The new Mrs. Lenoir seems so naive, while Mr. Lenoir is blind and disabled. I wonder how last night went for them.

"I bet it went fine. The bodyguards on duty last night said they heard Mrs. Lenoir making sounds."

"At first, she was really loud. Then it seemed like she hid under the blanket, but the moaning was still passionate."

"Really? She seemed so innocent."

"Who knows..."

The servants gossiped as they walked toward the kitchen. "Good morning!" The young woman with glasses, wearing a pink apron, cheerfully placed two cups of hot chocolate on the dining table. "You''re here so early!"

The atmosphere turned awkward as the two servants exchanged glances. After confirming Cherise hadn''t heard their conversation, they quickly walked over to help. "Good morning, Mrs. Lenoir. You''re up so early."

Grinning, Cherise glanced at the clock. "It''s not that early. It''s already past six!"

Actually, she''d gotten up a bit later than usual because she hadn''t slept well last night.

The servants panicked, thinking Cherise was complaining about them being late.

They rushed to prepare breakfast but discovered that a variety of food was already laid out. There were hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, and several golden pancakes.

The servants were shocked. "Mrs. Lenoir, these..."

"I made them! I wasn''t sure what Damien likes, so I just prepared something similar to what I usually make for my grandmother."

Then she pushed the pancakes toward the servants. "I didn''t know you guys would be here so early, so I didn''t make extra for you. You can have these first—I''ll make more."
